Find The Language
I love words- nouns, adverbs, adjectives, but especially verbs. Oh! Verbs! Various ways of being, moving, feeling, and expressing. I just eat verbs up, chewing on them like a fibrous fillet, or blowing them out like bubble gum (the cheap pink sort). Verbs churn in my brain day and night. They push at my skull and threaten to seep from my ears. “Let us out!” I settle them with my pink pen and my leather journal, or with my fingers and laptop.
Crack me open, peel the skin back, flick the bone aside. There, in the center of me, find the language.
*This month I’m participating in a writing prompt project, which you can find here- http://writealm.com/november-prompt-a-day/
