Bursting forth as Sunrise
an Earth-move
A tidal wave of brilliance
in pinks and bubble hues

Standing out among a crowd
clustered human-kind
A vision in a crimson dress
twirl, unfurl, spellbind

Demanding your attention
a collection of your thoughts
Focused, pointed, centered
in throats I’m often caught

I reside in wondrous places
waiting for your eye
I call you by existing
and barely have to try

Find me in the mountain peaks
snowfall-capped spires
See me in the blanket stars
twinkle blaze desires
Hear me when a newborn cries
that power splits the veil
Keep me at the fireside
within your ribcage dwell

Thank you, Amanda! When I saw today’s prompt I was reminded of a beloved portion from The Prophet-

“Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.”

So I new I wanted to use *fireside* in an interesting way, as a metaphor, or some such.
