Snapshots Of Gratitude
As I sit for the fourth Sunday in a row to do my gratitude practice, I ponder the things that made this week “worth it.” For me, the payoff of challenge is connection. A hectic morning in the kitchen culminates in a platter full of goodies. A rushed drive across the city delivers me to friends to share them with. Being stuck in traffic allows me to see lovely architecture. And when I reach out to friends about my struggles, they sometimes recommend, or even send, books!
I’m grateful for connection this week. The pull of people. The places we meet in the middle to say “me too” or “this worked for me and I hope it works for you too.” Sacred spaces. I’m also ever-grateful for the practice of writing, which has become deeply meaningful to me.
