Life’s Work

That’s all they are.
Letters form pictures. Spaces lend a breath. Punctuation reveals frustration! And elation!

Simply typed or written.
Fingers and pens drag voice from vessel. Lines lay a foundation. Pages allow room to grow.

Sometimes stuck in the throat.
Music loosens things up. A glass of water soothes. Friends hold up mirrors across the miles.

Arranged in this way.
Truly I can say. The life’s in the connection. The work is anything but.

*Thank you. You know who you are. You’re the reason I write tonight.

    1. Thank you, mama. Last night I hit a wall and was writing and deleting. Some writer friends helped me recenter enough to get this post done. <3

  1. Words have a life of their own
    and sometimes they go astray;
    even the softest one can bite
    and get in the way.

    But when they come from the heart
    sent with a smile or a tear;
    they can comfort and warm the souls
    of those that we hold so dear.

    Angie my dear, yes, your words do reveal your heart and soul like your mom says above, and they also bring comfort and warmth across the miles…I’m so glad you are writing!!! Love you so much, Aunt Sharen
