Far Away- A Poem For Endometriosis Awareness

March 8, 2014 | 8 Comments

Times spend jumping
Skipping through life
Limitations laughed-at
A call within to climb and soar
Swing high and let go
Travel far afoot
Fear on the peripheral
Pain on occasion
The world wide open
A body capable of terrain
Far away, far away, those days

  1. it does come across as upbeat. maybe this is good? some pain is so personal it’s hard to put into words or to put out there. maybe that’s the block?

    • Angie

I feel a block for certain. I seem aware of, and willing to share pain, but it just isn’t translating. This could be part of my “good girl” issue, subconsciously trying to keep everyone comfortable. Whatever it is, I’m frustrated. /o\

      • Just keep writing. It is always more important that you know your perspective than if others do. I am sure that those who have walked in your shoes understood right away what you were trying to say.
