Snapshots Of Gratitude

Snail mail, coffee, snow day.

This has been a difficult week. I’m down. I’m here because I am committed to the practice of gratitude, even when I can’t tap into the emotions. I know there are good things in my life. The evidence is in these photos. Gratitude can exist in a monotone place. It can be acknowledged when pain has shut me down. These words come out of me despite the absence of feeling, because I’ve laid the foundation. I won’t always feel this way. There is good around me. There is good.

  1. It says a lot that you able to say the words, knowing that you will feel them later, when the pain has subsided. You make me proud.
