It’ll rouse me in the morning
From a night of toss-turn dreams
It’ll get me through the breakfast rush
Without popped apron strings
It’ll be the co-pilot on my drive
From the west side, east, then home
It’ll be my life’s protection
From a rib-caged heart of stone
Stitched in every seam!
Thank stars I’m doused in fortitude
I may just reach my dream!
