Snapshots Of Gratitude
I just wrapped up a week full of ups and downs. I imagine we all did. Today I’m expressing gratitude for some moments captured on camera, as my Sunday morning Gratitude Practice.
I am grateful my body is getting stronger, and I have learned stretches and exercises from my Physical Therapist (who I’m freakishly grateful for!!!) which enable me to go on hikes and stay on top of the pain. In the left photo, I’m simply letting my left leg dangle off a picnic bench. This is called hip distraction and helps Synovial Fluid flow back into my socket. Steve and I hiked for about 2.5 miles on Friday night, and though it hurt, it was manageable.

I am grateful for snail mail! This week Kindred came in the mail, along with a new poetry book. I also received a card from a friend. The same friend who sent candy and coffee last week. This friend also texts me every day or night to check on me. She’s a Keeper. I am grateful for friends, poets, and publishers.
I am grateful for sweet, white, candy wine, and time out with Steve. I’m glad to be living life with a partner I truly enjoy. I love our long talks, and how he never, ever judges me. Another Keeper! I am grateful for love, companionship, and security.
I hope you had many good little moments last week, which caused you to practice gratitude, and locate joy. <3
