8 Replies to “Melt- Allow Vulnerability”

    1. Thank you! It’s one of the first photos I’ve shared from our trip to the mountains last Winter. I had a horrible parenting moment on that trip, and we all ended up crying in the hotel room. It was so shameful for me, and difficult to recover from. I still wince as I recall yelling at N in a parking lot. So I’m softening into vulnerability. Letting myself look back, with some kindness. Letting myself melt and heal. <3

      1. I am glad you are finally letting that out to heal. As parents, as humans, we all fall short, but we must learn to forgive ourselves (as we forgive others) and to learn from our mistakes and move on. xoxo

        1. Those are very helpful words. Thank you. What I do appreciate about my family, is that we are open and able to have difficult discussions, and practice humility, and resilience. No way through but through! But forgiving myself is the very hardest part. So thank you for the encouragement to do so.

  1. This post echoes my thoughts this morning on my way to work. I was thinking how perhaps I enjoy the cold weather because I identify with the ice and the natural distance it creates as a a protective barrier.
