February Feelings - Content - #NVC

This morning a friend said she couldn’t wait to catch up on the February Feelings posts this weekend. That sort of feedback makes me beam. Thanks for showing up. <3

Today I drew the Content GROK card.

February Feelings - Content - #NVC

The dictionary defines content as feeling satisfied with things as they are. I took a deep breath when I read that definition. I’m pondering how often I feel satisfied with things as they are. I tend to be spun-up with anxiety and fix-it-ness. I could be missing content feelings as I buzz around, seeking betterment.

A good place to start when growing our emotional vocabularies, is to simply read a list of feelings words, and gauge our familiarity. I notice there are feelings I’m quite aware of, and those I seem to rarely feel or talk about. Content is on my rarely list.

I’m curious about feeling content. Today I’ll be mindful of things as they are.

I’ve got a busy day ahead, but I’m grateful for connection here. Take care. 🙂

  1. This is one of my favourite feelings. I’ve truly had it envelope me so few times that I have vivid memories of those occasions. They’re cherished and what I seek in my mind during tumultuous moments.

Oh I so relate to what you’re saying here, about feeling content being so rare that it leaves a strong mark on us! I feel this with peace too. Like, a handful of true peaceful times. Treasure!
