February Feelings – Interested
A GROK deck contains 70 feelings cards. I’m obviously not getting to them all during this February Feelings project, but I’m learning from every post, and glad I set this goal to write about feelings every day this month. Thanks for coming along. 🙂
Today I drew the Interested card.
The dictionary defines Interested as wanting to learn more about something or to become involved in something. Feeling interested may be energizing. I tend to lean in and get excited when I feel interested. I may write or speak more passionately. I think we all have things in our lives that make us feel interested, though at times our desire to learn or become involved in things may be impacted by our health. I’m sometimes hindered by exhaustion, anxiety, or depression. When something is blocking my feeling of interest for things I’m normally excited about, I may then feel frustrated or sad.
Practicing Nonviolent Communication allows me to connect with myself in healthy ways. Knowing how I feel helps me not only identify my needs, but also get in touch with who I am, what I value, and what goals to set.
Today I’ll notice what engages me, and what makes me feel interested.
Thanks, always, for reading. Wishing you a feelings-aware and needs-met weekend!
